Find Your Future in the Department of English and World Languages

The Department of English and World Languages provides students with opportunities to develop the professional skills and liberal arts education necessary for successful careers, humane values, and lifelong learning.

Our students learn to communicate effectively in English and several world languages. They are able to draw on intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary bodies of knowledge to better understand literature, languages, and world cultures. Through both course offerings and co-curricular activities, our programs foster the development of reading, writing, critical thinking, analysis, and research skills. Degrees in English and World Languages prepare students for diverse, meaningful, and long-lasting careers.
