The DNP-FNP program educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles with focus on care of families throughout the lifespan for their preventive and primary health care needs. This doctoral-level education provides the clinical, policy, leadership expertise to improve health care outcomes. The program enables nurses to become expert nurse leaders and collaborators in solving health care problems in systems.
Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Cohort locations are on our Augusta and Athens campuses.
If you are interested in the DNP/AGACNP, FNP, PMHNP, or PNP, be aware that you must reside in either Georgia or South Carolina to attend the program due to the clinical requirements and need for instructors to visit you, your preceptor, and clinical site.

The DNP core courses provide the foundation of health care policy, evidence-based practice, leadership and systems management that prepares the advanced practice nurse to deliver optimal care in the ever-changing health care. The clinical courses reflect Family Nurse Practitioner Advanced Practice Nursing Competencies, including advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, advanced health assessment, nursing practice, and health care delivery.

The criteria for each fund is determined by the donor and is available upon inquiry. The availability of funds is variable. Students seeking financial assistance should complete an application form at the Financial Aid Office as well as provide required information specific to the scholarship to the College of Nursing.
