The Augusta University community honors the service of our military men and women and is grateful for the sacrifices that they and their families make to protect the freedoms and security that we enjoy. To active duty service members, veterans, dependents, and those who would like to become officers in the U. S. Army, AU provides an affordable, quality education with the resources to help you succeed.
Mission: The Office of Military and Veteran Services (MVS) creates an educational experience for our military-connected students and their families by providing student-centered customer service, open communication, and educational benefit processing.
MVS wants you to have the opportunity to connect with other military-connected students as a means to enhance your student experience at Augusta University. To facilitate the connection, all MVS-sponsored events will be shown here. Check back often as events will be added through-out the semester. Have an idea of an event for military-connected students? Just email us at mvs@augusta.edu.
AU Student Veterans of America
Empowering current and incoming student veterans and other military-affiliated students to stay engaged, informed, and actively participate in chapter operations. To encourage leadership within the organization so that members can continue to serve in leadership positions in the community after graduation from Augusta University.
Creating a supportive and empathetic community that honors and remembers the sacrifices of service members, while providing substantial assistance to the families left behind. This vision encompasses a future where awareness, education, and fundraising efforts positively impact Gold Star families and contribute to the mission's success.
Military and Veteran Services is looking for a few good men and women on campus and in the community to create the Augusta University Military Advisory Council (AUMAC). The purpose of the Council is to raise the standard of support and care for AU’s military students. Being a veteran is not a requirement – you simply need a passion for serving those who have so graciously served us. You may email MVS@augusta.edu with questions or fill out our form to indicate your interest.
Augusta University limits academic residency to no more than twenty-five percent of the degree requirements for all degrees for active-duty service members. Academic residency can be completed at any time while active duty service members are enrolled. Reservists and National Guardsmen on active duty are covered in the same manner.
