The Doctor of Nursing Practice - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (DNP-PNP) concentration is an extension of the state's first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program for advanced practice nurses.
The DNP-PNP concentration educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles with focus on the primary health care of children from birth through young adult. This doctoral-level education provides the clinical policy, and leadership expertise to improve child and family health care outcomes. The program enables nurse to become expert nurse leaders and collaborators in solving health care problems in systems.
Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Cohort locations are on our Augusta and Athens campuses.
Augusta University College of Nursing DNP program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Graduates of the DNP program are eligible to seek the following professional state licenses or certifications: Certification as an APRN Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and licensure as an APRN. Graduates of this program may take the exam for certification as an APRN in Georgia and other states as listed on the Council of State Boards of Nursing. Visit the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to determine the requirements of your state or territory. Graduates had a 100% Board Pass Rate for the last 4 out of 5 years.
If you are interested in the DNP/AGACNP, FNP, PMHNP, or PNP, be aware that you must reside in either Georgia or South Carolina to attend the program due to the clinical requirements and need for instructors to visit you, your preceptor, and clinical site.

The College of Nursing is pleased to offer several scholarships to current undergraduate and graduate Nursing students.
The criteria for each fund is determined by the donor and is available upon inquiry. The availability of funds is variable. Students seeking financial assistance should complete an application form at the Financial Aid Office as well as provide required information specific to the scholarship to the College of Nursing.
