The course is designed to teach members of the general public correct CPR techniques for use on adults, children ages 1 - 8 years old, and infants ages 0 - 12 months. The course also covers use of an AED as an important part of the CPR sequence for adults and children. Students learn how to relieve choking in a responsive or unresponsive adult, child and infant, and how to use a barrier device to prevent contamination during rescue breathing.
Audience: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
