Welcome to the Department of Radiology & Imaging

We will accomplish this through working as a collegial team in a family-centered environment with dignity, respect and stewardship in service to our patients, students, fellow practitioners and community.

Mission:

Our mission is to improve and promote health by efficiently delivering the highest level of evidence-based imaging care while developing the next generation of top radiologists and conducting cutting-edge research.

Vision:

Better imaging for better health

The department is organized into the Sections of Abdominal Radiology, Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pediatric Radiology.

Our rapidly growing team currently includes 29 full-time faculty, 30 adjunct faculty, 26 DR and IR residents, a neuroradiology fellow, and a PET fellow that work alongside nearly 200 support staff including technologists, nurses, and administrative staff.

Together, we provide care at the Augusta University Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Georgia, and the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center on an interconnected campus.  We also staff the new outpatient imaging center, AU Health Imaging, located at the border between Richmond and Columbia counties.

Please feel free to explore the links below for more information about our team and our program.
