Dr. Mandawat is an Interventional Cardiologist and a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist. He completed his Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowships SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also did his Internal Medicine residency and internship in New York. Prior to his US training he had extensive invasive Cardiology experience in England and Scotland. His professional interest and expertise are in Cardiac Rhythm management including Cardiac pacemaker, Biventricular pacemakers and Defibrillator implantation. He also performs all types of Coronary and peripheral Interventions. He is Principal Investigator for many studies looking at the mechanism and risk stratification of patient presenting with sudden Cardiac death. He has research publications and book chapters in major Cardiovascular journals.
