Research Interests
During over 25 years of my training and research career, I gained broad expertise in basic and molecular immunology, specifically in the role of TCR/peptide/MHC interactions in different aspects of autoimmune diseases and tolerance using in vivo and in vitro assays in animal models. My current research interest focuses on braking the pathologic state of "tolerance" created in the tumor microenvironment, which is the goal of cancer immunotherapy. I'm designing and supervising immune-monitoring assays used in several Immunotherapy clinical trials.
