Research Interests
I am a genetic epidemiologist with broad interest on the complex interplay of emotional and behavioral factors, such as major depression and psychological stress, with the development of cardiovascular disease, obesity and metabolic disorders. Currently, I focus on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying the neural-cardiac interaction.
