Support the patients and families of Augusta University Health.
Your gift to the AU Medical Center allows us to offer the highest quality of care to our patients. Whether being treated inside the hospital, at one of our many outpatient centers, or at the region’s only Level I trauma center, our patients come first. Your philanthropic gift enhances our commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
Residency Wellness
The wellness of our Residents remains a focus of Augusta University Medical Center. Residents that train at Augusta University Medical Center are vital to its existence, and through this fund, grants will be made to support the physical and emotional wellness of our residents and support their educational needs.
Staff Development
The continued growth and development of our professional staff are crucial to providing high quality cutting edge patient care. This fund will assist in the professional development of our staff by providing educational stipends to participate in professional development programs.
Pastoral Care
Our Pastoral Counseling chaplains serve all areas of our hospitals and clinics to bring sensitive spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, guests and staff from all different faith backgrounds including those who have none, with equal care.
That care has been especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the focus shifted to the frontline caregivers who were experiencing things they never thought they would, families that were somewhat isolated and fearful in many ways, and also being mindful of how to care for those at the end of life.
Your philanthropic gift enhances our commitment to continue being there in times of greatest need to provide hope and words of comfort—and to help those who need it, find their way.
Patient and Family Centered Care
The medical center at Augusta University is a pioneer in the concept of Patient- and Family-Centered Care, an approach that removes the barriers to having collaborative partnerships between healthcare providers, patients and families. We put patients and families first!
Patient- and Family-Centered Care involves truly partnering with patients and families, not only involving them in decisions about their care, but also gaining the benefit of their help and insights to better plan and deliver care, and evaluate that care.
Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, less the fair market value of the benefits received. The CARES Act which became law on March 27, 2020, may enhance the tax deductibility of your gift. Please consult with your tax advisor.
