Dr. Thaddeus Y. Carson is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Augusta University. He then completed the Teaching Scholars Fellowship of Augusta University's Educational Innovation Institute to gain formal education in academic medical education and pursues a career in academic internal medicine with a focus in medical education. He is currently the Clerkship Director of Internal Medicine for the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Carson practices in both the Internal Medicine Resident Clinic as well as in his own faculty practice clinic.
Dr. Carson’s reputation as a compassionate and competent internist has been earned through caring for patients in our region. He is a strong advocate for patient care in an increasingly complicated medical system. He excels in the coordination of care for patients with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Carson is an enthusiastic Clerkship Director and inspires trainees and students toward compassionate, comprehensive care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, the Association of Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
