The Institutional Access, Success, & Belonging is pleased to announce several new programs to help support AU faculty, staff and students and to advance diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the AU community.
The Institutional Access, Success, & Belonging (IASB) is offering a summer outreach experience for Augusta University students at all levels (i.e., undergraduate, graduate and professional) looking to engage in an interdisciplinary learning opportunity. Examples include but are not limited to helping a faculty member develop a IASB related course, receiving training as a campus peer educator or as a peer advocate in a IASB related area, helping to infuse IASB within the promotional materials for the partnering AU departments, etc. The IASB summer student will receive a $1500 stipend to support the proposed experience, which will run from July 13th to August 7th. Applications for the IASB summer outreach experience are due on June 30th.
Applications should include a 2-4 page academic development plan that outlines the ways in which this summer experience will enhance the skills needed for academic and future career success, in addition to the ways in which the project’s specific attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion will improve the proposed partner’s efforts.
