I am an Associate Professor with a multidisciplinary background in biological sciences, pharmacology, and educational innovation. I hold a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Innovation and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, along with advanced credentials in Molecular Diagnostics, Educational Leadership, Health Informatics, and Public Administration.
My teaching interests include Qualitative Research Methods, Environmental Health and Health Promotion, and Public Health Informatics. My research focuses on genomic pathways and molecular targets in severe obesity, molecular mechanisms of cancer prevention and early detection, and nutrition education. I am passionate about educational innovation and technology, aiming to explore new strategies to improve learning outcomes in STEM and public health education.
I focus on faculty development and student success. Through my interdisciplinary work, I encourage my students to become critical thinkers and problem-solvers. My goal is to integrate molecular science, nutrition, and education to promote scientific literacy and foster innovation, ultimately leading to improved population health.
