Choose

The Graduate School fosters a graduate experience like no other in programs and fields ranging from humanities and business to cybersecurity and health sciences. Apply

You may apply to more than one graduate program. However, you cannot matriculate into more than one program simultaneously, with the exception of an official dual degree program. The Augusta University application is used by Graduate School programs (with the exception of Nursing and Nutrition - see below). 

Application materials & documents (e.g. transcripts, proof of degree, transcript evaluations, etc.) must be submitted directly to Augusta University's Office of Graduate Admissions at graduateadmissions@augusta.edu or can be mailed to:

Official Transcripts 

Official transcripts are required from all universities and colleges attended. In the case of transcripts from international colleges/universities, an official course-by-course transcript evaluation is required and will be accepted in lieu of an official transcript. Please visit the International Applicants webpage for details. Official electronic transcripts should be emailed from the issuing institution to Augusta University's Office of Graduate Admissions Operations at graduateadmissions@augusta.edu. Alternatively, official mailed transcripts in the original, unopened, sealed and stamped/signed envelope from the issuing institution can be sent to:

Unofficial Transcripts (select programs only)

Unofficial transcripts may be accepted by some programs for the application review process. Applicants who are offered acceptance based on unofficial transcripts must submit their offical transcripts to the Graduate Admissions Office two weeks prior to the beginning of the entry term.


Letters of Recommendation

Please see specific program criteria and requirements for number of letters. Within the application, you will provide the names and current email addresses for your referees. The system will send referees instructions for submitting materials online.


Standardized Test Requirements

Standardized test requirements vary by program. Please check your program for specific criteria and requirements.  
For International Applicants, please see English Proficiency Exam requirements. 

Monitor Your Applicant Portal

You can track the receipt and processing of your application via the applicant portal. Application decisions will not be made until applications are complete.


Application Review

The program/academic college for which you are applying will review your application and supporting documents. Interviews will be scheduled and considered, as applicable to individual programs. Your application should demonstrate substantial preparation for graduate study in the field for which you are seeking admittance. The length of time required to make a decision varies by the department/program, type of degree, and the size of the applicant pool.

Decision Notification

Upon recommendation of the program/academic college, The Graduate School will confirm eligibility and finalize an admissions decision. Official decision notifications come to your applicant portal from the Dean of The Graduate School.

Next Steps for Admitted Applicants

Upon acceptance, enrollment information will be provided in your applicant portal for important next steps. Please note, many programs require official confirmation of acceptance prior to enrolling. Newly Accepted Students »

International Students - After you have officially accepted your offer of admissions, the International and Postdoctoral Services office will send you an email from ipso@augusta.edu requesting that you log into AU International and complete the appropriate request forms. After they issue your document (I-20 or DS-2019), you can apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate in your home country.
